Olive Frost Damage Photographs

Hard hit Maurino. Notice foliage loss on this small tree.

Typical damage.

Notice discoloration of leaf tips. These are now dry and easily crumbled one week after injury.

This large bushy Maurino only suffered damage at the tips.

  1. This is nature doing her usual rough pruning job. We'll of course be making a better go of it in February when we get the groves ready for 2014 growth.

  2. The other thought I had looking at this is that this is tree is a great example of the work you did in 2013 in getting nutrients to the trees. This much foliage can only be supported by a strong root system -- great to see this in a young grove.
